Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies

These I thought would be a crowning moment in my Martha cookie making, since they are on the cover of the book. But alas, I was disappointed in the taste. The texture was nice, I just did not like the molasses flavor. I would reduce that and add more sugar. Or maybe use white instead of brown sugar. I used milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet, and I would not use semi-sweet in the future, as the milk gave it a sweeter taste. Of course they are on her site.
